The Hanoi Department of Transport has announced that Hanoi will soon have a new 4km long and 4m wide cycle path along the To Lich River. This dedicated bicycle lane, which will pass through the Cau Giay and Dong Da districts, is set to open on February 1, 2024. The purpose of this project is to provide a safe and convenient transportation option for cyclists in the city. The cycle path will connect Lang Station of Cat Linh – Ha Dong Metro Line and No.8 Station of the Nhon-Hanoi Metro Line. The total investment for the project is estimated to be VND65 billion (US$2.64 million). There will be six public bicycle stations along the route, including two major stations at the Transportation University and Lang Station. The newly-recognized national treasures are a gold-star bronze drum from the Dong Son Culture that dates back 2,000 years ago and the gold-plated An Dan sword of Emperor Khai Dinh. These treasures are currently housed at the Vietnam National Museum of History in Hanoi. Several artifacts at the Thang Long – Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Centre have also earned the national treasure title. The expert team from the Archaeological Survey of India, under the Indian Ministry of Culture, has started surveying the tower in Tuy Hoa City, as the first step towards its preservation and refurbishment.
